How to find out if a drive can read dual-layer disc

Hello, where on my computer, do i look to find out what my drives are (i have 2 internal drives (other than C drive)? I also have an external drive I do known what it is because I can read it) Thanks.

The BIOS would likely reveal the model number/manufacturer of the drives...; you could then look up the drives specs...

Or , simply install a dual layer disc and see pretty quickly if it can read it.

And in Win7 I would find that by going where? I was so used to XP ... Win7 is still giving me fits as far as finding things. Thanks.

Tip for win7, press the start/windows button, type in whatever you are looking for in the search bar and it brings up a list of possibles, one thing about 7 I love :)
