well im on a budget, looking for the best card for around that price. like 140-50 without the rebates, so around 120-30 after rebates.. so please dont link me a card that is 160$. it happens a lot.. people always tell me to get something better. im not a hardcore gamer and i dont need the BEST, i just need something good for around that price. GTX 550 ti, or HD5770, around those cards prices..

Well I am rather thankful for my dirt cheap cards like my $32 fixer upper 8800gtx or my $51 3870. Modern cards are such a disappointment. I suggest that you save for just a little longer and then buy a better card. The gts 450 and the gtx 550ti are horrible cards when used as a single card. The 6790 is no better and is another cut down card. Why waste the money on such underpowered cards? For the money you are getting a lot more for your money for just a little more cost. I have learned the hard way on my own money so take my advice save for a little longer or dig just a little deeper.

ty for a real answer. yet again i am told by someone to get a better card for more expensive. of course thats gonna be better, but I dont have the money to "dig deeper". did I mention I am on a onboard 8100? pretty sure going to a GTX 550 would be a big improvement.

Gts 450 and Gtx 550 are going to be a great card for you dont listin to these Idiots. For example a gts 450 1gb can max out bad company 2 at 1920x1080p high settings. You'll enjoy it.

Hey idiots who think they know jack ***, high settings 1920x1080 bc2 55fps in big maps, Let me record a fraps video of it when I get off work. Idiots.

I bet you get about 20 as a minimum fps in bfbc2, don't ever insult me again... your the one running a gts 450 with a 2600k (talk about a balanced system) and its fine if your not a big gamer but claiming that your performance is "fine" is debatable, unless if by "fine" your meant marginal.

from the charts I see you can average 39 fps thats great man now that I know that it would be obvious to anyone who has ever played the game that your fps drops into the 20s and teens likely, this is not good performance imo... remember 39 is an average not a constant fps

I had a 6870 which averaged fps in the 50s still had dips below 30 fps on occasion, it was unsatisfactory,

with my current gpu (gtx 570) the minimums never really go below 55-58 any any given time and the averages are well above that...

the gts 450 is fine but I would def not recommend that to someone that is trying to game at 1080p, I'd say for 1080p the lowest card that should be considered is a gtx 460/ 6850, but thats just my opinion no need to tell me that I know jack *** when I really do know what I'm talking about, maybe I am more anal than you and everyone is entitled to their opinion but if I was gaming at 1080p I would never consider a gts 450...
