First time I went to use the eithernet port connect to my mobo.. I keep getting network cable unplugged so I have decided to buy a cheap network card. Here is what im looking at..

My concern is that I have installed ram, audio and video cards into my computers before but never anything that didn't exactly fit the slot its meant for. Will any of those work for my computer? If so, I wont need to connect power to it right?

Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit
Core 2 Duo E7400
2 GB Ram
PCI E 1.0

Are you trying to use a Long PCI slot or one of the new short PCI-e x1 slot? There is a difference.

I use a Killer 2100 myself. It saves me from getting killed when I trip over a enemy while turning a corner or something.

I know for sure my graphics card is in a PCI Express 1.0 slot. I am not sure if all the slots are PCIE1 or not though. I did ttake a picture just in case you can tell by looking at it.

Edit: Looking at the slot vs the picture of the Rosewill.. The pins dont look like they exactly match. My slots all have one separation cut but the Rosewill has two separation cuts. I dont know if thats a problem or not.
