Am I doing it wrong?

So here is my problem. Ever since I have had this computer it has had minor problems which occur frequently. Randomly the computer will freeze for no reason. The sound stutters and the whole computer freezes requiring a full reset. Sometimes when I power up my computer it shows the Gigabyte screen and resets in a constant loop. The only fix is to pull a few memory sticks and put them back in. Is there something wrong with my RAM sticks?

First of you are running two different types of ram, both latency and voltage is different. Try running it with just one set in but really I suggest upgrading to a min 2x2GB kit.

Yep, you have broken the cardinal rule of memory installation. Don't mix types or speeds, and especially not voltages!
