Mobile won't connect to home wifi

My Samsung Wave 723 will connect to my home wifi if I disable the security but not if it is turned on even though the password is correct - I just get the message "No access from AP"

Is my mobile not capable of getting past the encryption?

Make sure the router's wireless security type matches your phone's wireless security type.

If using WEP ? If you must, apply the hexadecimal translation of the passphrase not the alphanumeric (the alphanum has to be translated by the phone and it may do it differently than the router).
