Best configuration for a desktop 2011

I am thinking 2 or 4 i7 processors, max RAM, 2 video cards if thats possible etc. Just wondering...

processor - mother board - video card - sound card - hd capacity and speed - ram

Just want to get an idea and look at the prices etc...

It all depends of the planned operation of the machine! (4 x 8threded CPU's would be a waste running a single threaded application)

First of all the Intel® Core™ i7 processors can not work in a multi-processor configuration. So no there will be no 2 or 4 i7 processors on a board, you maybe able to run a couple Intel Xeon® 56XX in a dual processor configuration.

In the end it really comes down to what you are going to be doing and does that application support multi-threading?
