i would get a less expensive mobo. that one is overpriced when you consider the features you are getting.

I would highly recommend a gtx 560 TI instead of a regular gtx 560. you should be able to fit it in the budget, and its a better card.

the corsair builder series isnt the greatest. At that price, you would be better off with an antec PSU:

the above one doesnt have a power cable, but most people have one lying around from an old computer, printer, or monitor.

please do not pay $50 for a hyper 212+. its a great cooler, for $30 dollars. its popularity (due to the VALUE at $30), has caused the price to go up. At $50, the Scythe Mugen 2 and Thermalright Mux-120 are much better choices (cooler and quieter). The 212 can be had for $30 on amazon.

another thing: the core clock of the asus model is 925Mhz, while the evga model has 850
does this matter or is the evga better anyway?

thanks! :D

2 things:
on the memory infos of the MSI p67a-g43, what does "1600 (OC)" mean?

and the difference between the g-43 and the c-43 is just the number of PCIe slots? if so, isn't more convenient to get the second?

Wow that combo is AWESOME!!! thanks for posting that up. I was doing a build with almost identical parts but it ended up around 950 with the 560ti added in. Now like 750!!

EDIT: That board will not run crossfire or sli.. I was thinking bout purchasing until I saw that.

mmm last thing: is it better to buy an overclocked gpu at high price or a lower-clock one at "low" price and overclock it manually?

If you can find $20, upgrading to this HDD would be a pr0 move - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822152185&cm_re=samsung_1tb_spinpoint_7200_rpm_32mb_cache_sata_3-_-22-152-185-_-Product

Also, as has already been stated, the 212+ is worth $30, but not $50, if you want it, but it on amazon for $30, if you want to buy $50 worth of cooler, there are numerous good options, several have already been mentioned.

Yes, that motherboard is a bit expensive. For what you want to do, you could get by with a ~$120 motherboard.

As for graphics cards, why Nvidia? I can understand only looking at intel CPUs, because AMD doesn't have competitive options, but as far as graphics cards go, unless you have a crush on Physix, definitely give AMD cards a look.

Great choice on the case.

for the cpu cooler, i think i'll buy it later and use the stock one for now

about the motherboard, then do you suggest me to go for the MSI P67a-C43? how is it for cpu overclocking?

for the graphics card, i wanted to go for amd too, but my father is an nvidia fan and doesn't want to buy amd cards xD
