Radeon 6850 hight pitch noise problem sounds like an alarm

I have just got my new radeon 6850 and as soon as it boots up i get what sounds like an alarm!
very high pitch buzz !
Its not the fan so I cant work out what else it could be?
oher than that it is working fine.
Can anyone suggest what might be the problem please.

mpooley--I just ran across your article while trying to figure out an annoying high-pitched alarm I started getting. What kind of motherboard do you have? I just put a 6850 into my GA-EX58-UD5 and this is the first time I ever heard the alarm.
