Cant get my graphics card installed

Hello,
I have a HP a320n desktop. I bought the Radeon HD 3650 graphic card. Disabled old AGP graphics, installed new and had to get an adapter for the monitor to fit (Dynex DVI to VGA video adapter) the monitor won't work and I have no clue what is going on...Can anyone help me with this?

what do you mean you disabled the old agp graphics? disabled how? maybe you should enable it again?

Disabled the onboard graphics so when I installed the new card it would read only the new card. I am thinking that maybe I need another power source to the new card but not for sure.

have you tried the onboard output? Is it still using it instead?
