-Hi all, I've been asking a different forum.. which isn't a technical forum so I thought I try a more reputable source. I copy and pasted so you get some background information. I'll mention that I'm not getting any peripherals right now and my budget is ~$1000.

-Hey guys, thanks to all of you I've come to what I think is an acceptable build to play my current games on "high": L4D, L4D2, KF, FEAR2, TF2, TL, CS:S, Bioshock, Assassin's Creed, etc (steamprofile/jsmucha) and upcoming games: FEAR3, TL2, etc.

-I've made this new thread to let the old one die and to keep it cleaner. Any input is again appreciated and I'm looking more for nods of satisfaction or excitement. If you have critiques please explain them and not say "that sucks".

-Oh, I haven't chosen a video card, so any suggestions would be great. My laptop resolution is 1440x900 and for my new desktop I'd like to retain the widescreen but have it for a ~17in screen (what resolution is that?). I'd just going to have one monitor now but eventually upgrade to two. Oh and do you think any of those three items below will go on sale soon? And, I hear this CPU is good for OCing, should I do it? Also, seeing the case I got, do you recommend getting two more fans to mount on the side where it looks like they can be mounted? And wth is the different in those CPUs? Any other tips?

Your resolution is so low its hard to recommend anything more powerful than a 5770 or GTX 460 768 mb

Which makes the rest of the rig complete overkill . OC not required any time soon

-I already have 2x2Gb RAM, are you guys saying to return it and get 2x4Gb? Or would it be just as effective to get two more 2x2Gb of RAM?

-GTX 570's are a bit too high for me.

-And for 6950's which one warrants favor?

-By the way, what is the difference between 560's and 560 ti's?
