depends which core 2 duo you have... could range from an X6800 or an E8600 to a E4300...

You'd probably have some difficulty with an onboard graphics chip for games like Assassin's Creed.

You can pick up cheap 8800GT/9800GT cards online and even new at some stores. Tigerdirect had 9800GTs for only $50 a while back, but I haven't checked since.
