So I'm running with a P5Q3 Deluxe mother board, intel quad core CPU, 2 crossfired ATI HD4800 graphics cards, and 4GB of RAM. All of this is stuffed into a 900 Antec Gaming Case http://www.antec.com/Believe_it/product.php?id=MjM=

And now for the problem, I just got ahold of a 8800 GTS Nvidia graphics card that I want to add to my computer. I've been wanting to be able to run PhysX for awhile and now I think I might have a chance! The problem is that the second ATI card is covering the third graphics card slot on the motherboard (http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a150/slick05_1/xq5z7ljblpNoAROT_500.jpg). I have the power supply below that which definitely leaves no room.

How am I supposed to fit this nvidia graphics card into my setup? I'll take a picture of my case with everything in it to give you a good look. I'm frustrated and I don't know how to get around this problem.

hoping help will be found,
-Slick

I had to take a hacksaw to the internal frame to fit in a amd 6990.

even if I managed to get some room in the case, how can I plug a video card into the 3rd slot if it's covered by the second video card. Did they just put it there to torture me into thinking it's possible?

Even if you got it in there you'd have to run hacked drivers to allow the ATI and Nvidia card to play nice. In my mind it is not worth it unless you are running a game that is know to REALLY benefit from PhysX.

Take out a 4800 and replace it with the 8800 if you want to mess around with the hacked drivers.

Well, I'm not wanting to add it for a game, I'm wanting to add it so I can develop for a game. I'm a 3D effects artist, and you gotta have an Nvidia card to use the PhysX engine in Maya. I was hoping there was a way to not have to switch out my video cards back and forth.

I don't mind messing with custom drivers, there are plenty out there for this kinda thing now.

thanks, I had hoped this wouldn't be the solution, but I think I gotta agree, I simply don't see any other way of getting all 3 inside. Thanks :)
