I've got an older PC that works well once it boots up. The problem is that often times when I restart the PC, or turn it on from being off, it doesn't even post (lights are flashing on HDD, DVD Drive, etc, but no beep). I end up having to clear the CMOS by taking out the battery, unpluging the computer, and holding down the power button for a minute. I pop the battery back in, and it usually posts after that.

The computer has decent specs to become a HTPC. But if I put all the innards into a HTPC case, it won't be as easy to clear the CMOS when this happens. I definitely want to clear up this issue before moving things over to the new case.

Anyone know why this might be happening? Anyone knnow anything I can try to fix this?
