Hi Guys,

I have just had an epic battle with my rig and after an extremely prolonged process of elimination I have come to the conclusion that my current GFX card (BFG 9800GT OC) has probably had it.

I need to get a new one asap and must admit to being frankly confused by the plethora of options available on t'internet. I have a modest budget of £100 (which could probably be squeezed up to £150 if the missus agrees my need is critical :D )
I am looking to buy today or tomorrow.

The only game I really play on my machine is Football manager 2011 on my DELL SP2309w [2048x1152]. I work from home sometimes so need my 2nd generic 15'' VGA monitor [1024x768] to be supported without issues.

My current PSU is an Antec signature 650w. My system specs are E8400 (stock) on a Maximus ii formula with 4Gb of OCZ RAM

I would prefer a supplieer in the UK or Tbh anyone that can get the card to me within a couple of days max.
I am willing to consider any card so long as its not too pricey and fulfills my needs. I have no interest in overclocking or SLI or Crossfire

Thanks in advance for your help :)

Nice monitor :) my dad has that one, I love it. Based on the benchmarks, the amd hd6850 wouldn't be a bad choice, its a good jump up and should play that game at the high res, it can be had for about 120 quid so you may need the permission of your missus :p

Good luck with your new card

Also, I may be buying an HD 6970 for my birthday this month, so I might be selling my Hd 5770 for about 50 pounds if your interested, but you'd have to wait until probably the 19th, so it may be a little inpractical.

IDK bout UK suppliers, but the 6850 would be a very good option. Might be tricky to find it under 100 pounds, because it's $150 or so in the states already.
