Hello, I would like to upgrade my proccesor I have an Acer Aspire T180 with an AMD athalon 64x2 4000+ socket am2(940) motherboard acer em61sm/em61pm what is compatible?

AMD's Phenom II line would be a good upgrade. You should check with the manufacturer to see what is compatible, as you may need to update your BIOS.
