Hi,

I am thinking about upgradeing to a i7 2600 from my amd 955 (not wanting to overclock).

Anyway, I am willing to spend $250-$350 on a new graphics card, I was thinking either
the 6950 or the 6970, which will be the best for this cpu and is the extra money worth
it for the 6970?

Thanks

What's wrong with the 955, it can run any game? Get a good video card, the difference between the 955 and Sandy Bridge in full HD is some 5-10%. You can at least wait for the new Bulldozer CPUs in the fall, the prices will go down.

Yeh I dont think my graphics card will need updateing any time soon, Its a 1GB GTX460 OC version and i only have a 20" monitor so that should be fine for quite a while.

I am not that happy with my 955 at the moment, but I think I will wait for the bulldozer cpu's now that you say that.

Thanks.
