It did a windows update and the auto restart to finish but it appeared to finish itself when I got up. Have seen people have this issue of a lifeless green afterglow from the led on the back but no other lights and no response from the on button in the front. REALLY hope this brings it back.

Stock was 300W
350-450W is more than what was in it for 2 years and in the price range I am going with.

Picking it up at bestbuy and here is what they have

Corsair
Cooler Master
Antec
Dynex

If this doesn't work are there options to recover the files on the hard drive?

Thanks

If i understand you correctly, your PC has died after a Windows update, and all you get now is the green diode inside the box lighting up? And you ran the update overnight (you said it was done when you got up)?

If it is a green diode, then the PSU is still providing power. However, it's possible it blew during the night. Unfortunately, that may have taken components within your system down with it. Of the brands you mention, I'd go for either Corsair or Antec.

You can easily recover the files, assuming the HDD hasn't been damaged, but plugging it into another PC and copying them over.
