Can the intel mobile 4 series handle 3 monitors?

Hello,

I have an acer laptop with an HDMI out (currently used) but I also have a VGA out that I want to add another monitor to. Will it work? I have 3GB ram of which 1.3 GB is shared with the graphics card. Thanks for the help!

No.

Only Radeon HD 5xxx / HD 6xxx series which explicitly states EyeFinity support can support 3 monitors.

Also, to the best of my knowledge, only the GeForce GTX 4xx / 5xx series can support 3 monitors as well.

No, the op specifically says 3 monitors. The link you sent only shows igp being able to support 2 monitors.
