According to the specifications on the HP website it has a 17.3” Diagonal HD+ High-Definition HP LED BrightView Widescreen Display (1600 x 900). If it has a LED display it does not have an invertor, since it uses LED to backlight the screen. If you have a black screen attach a external monitor. There are LED blink codes, when the machine boots up.
