Hello everyone.

I have just been given a PSU by one of my friends. However, it has a 20 pin motherboard connector. I have been looking around on the internet and have found that you can purchase a 20 Pin to 24 Pin adaptor.

The question I have to ask is are these safe? Simple as that really. Are they okay for use?

Thank you

Andy

If it only has a 20 pin connector that indicates that its a fairly old model, does it have a 4 or 8 pin CPU connector? If it doesnt have either you really shouldnt use it for a modern system. ATX V2.0 was the start of the 24 pin main power connectors and that was back in 2003, you may not want to use it if it only has a 20 pin main connector.

if your connector PSU like this 20+4 pin ... it will be OK use 20pin to your mobo
