Hey guys, I'm having a hard time choosing the right z77 motherboard with the best onboard audio under $220. I won't be purchasing a soundcard simply due to budget restrictions. If you have any recommendations please let me know!

Unfortunately that was the only board that I could find under 220 that has a superior sound chip. There is the Gigabyte G1. Sniper 3, which is full sized and has a superior sound chip, but it goes for 279.00

I own the G1.sniper 3 and I purchased it because of its audio implementation (solid capacitors) but found out that the CA chip only outputs 24/96 at best, I own several recordings at 24/192 and 24/176.4 so this was a disappointment to say the least. I assumed (wrongly) that the SPDIF output would be like previous non-high end Gigabyte models but I proved myself wrong once I set it up. :(
On a good note, it is a very decent (but not stellar) sounding motherboard and if 24/96K is good enough for a particular user then it is a good choice. :)
