I need gaming PC!!

I am soon to be building my own PC. My main priority is gaming. I have a couple parts that would be nice, but there is a lot of people that know more then me on this site. So my real question is what is the best I can make a gaming PC with 600- 700 dollars.

If you have a decent speaker/headset setup and is a serious FPS player then you might want to look into one, if not, then pretty much no.

You might do better with a cheaper processor (955 or 965) and a better graphics card.

Yeah I just wanted to make sure if I needed it or not.

So pretty much if I want average sound then no but better then average yes?

Wouldn't it be better to go for a cheaper processor and go with a better graphics card?

Yes and no, for the cash a 955+HD6950 2GB is another option, which may or may not be better depending on what games you play.
The 955 does have both OC and an upgrade option of a BD in the coming months.

What games do you play, and at what resolution?

Well, I do not ply many games as of now but I am wanting to play battlefield 3 and skyrim. Those are the main two

Then i5 is for you, as you won't be using the GPU often outside of gaming and both are quite CPU bound also
