IF you're not going to get the IB (K) then why even bother with the Z77's, you could simply get an Intel B75, H77 or Z75 Express Chipset. If spending ~$1,700 for Gaming then I would strongly recommend the i5-3570K - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

My picks:
$240 CPU: Intel i5-3570K
$185 MOBO: ASUS P8Z77-V
$420 GPU: GTX 670 (EVGA 02G-P4-2678-KR or ASUS GTX670-DC2-2GD5)
$130 CASE: Corsair 500R
$55 RAM: Corsair Vengeance CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9B 2x4GB DDR3-1600
$165 PSU: Corsair Professional Series HX850 ; in case you SLI later
$210 SSD: Corsair Force Series GT CSSD-F240GBGT-BK 2.5" 240GB ; on sale today $210
$80 HDD: SAMSUNG Spinpoint F3 HD103SJ 1TB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache
$115 HSF: Corsair H100
=====
$1600 ; and IMO if the data is important then RAID 1 the Spinpoint F3 +$80
