Dont know Im thinking the deadline is over by now but I can tell you the Twin Frozer II 6950 OC's like a boss. I have it at a core clock of 925 and mem of 1400 and its rocking along at 60c at 65% fan quiter than my case fans :). Also at those clocks it is scoring higher than my unlocked 6950 with extra shaders. My 3d Mark scre with the unlocked card was 4801 ran it with the Twin Frozer OC yesterday and got a 4875 best ive gotten so far :).

A 6870 or a 560 would be fine. You can get most 6870's for under $250 now on Newegg, but you're getting it from Singapore, so I'm not sure what the prices there would be.

For both Nvidia and AMD cards in regards to brands, HIS, EVGA, Asus, Gigabyte, and MSI are all good versions. XFX is good too, they have a decent warranty.

I'd really recommend a GTX 560 Ti. They're a great card for the money, and can handle 1080p just fine - your current monitor shouldn't give it any trouble at all. I prefer MSI, EVGA, Asus, and PNY when it comes to brands. They all seem to make great hardware. :)

So , as far as the Card goes, i should go for gtx560? over 6870? and also , also the manufacturers apart from XFX, ( Asus , Gigabyte, Evga, MSI and HIS ) are good ones!

P.S. i read some reviews, and i got some info that a 6870 or even a 5830 is better than 560 :S

Uhh.. did you get those reviews from a porn site or something.. cause those are spectacularly wrong.
Just look at reviews from toms/anandtech they are realiable. Other sites are reliable too, but you can't discern the right from the wrong it seems...

Try this

http://www.anandtech.com/bench/GPU11/188

Select the cards you wan't to compare... and click 'view comparison'!

Amazing! The 5830 is not there under GPU 2011, but under 2010, so we look at the 5850 vs 5830, then the 5850 vs the 560Ti. The 560Ti wins spectacularly over the 5850, which is significantly better than the 5830..

Just to end you short, the 5830 is around 65% of the performance of the 560ti, you were probably comparing 550Ti vs 5830

Well for the money you listed you could get a MSI Twin Frozer 6950. I beleive its $289 will beat any card listed here and wile a bit over powered for that rez will give you great performance moving forward in the future. Just saying :)

OP's price range was $300 max. For $289 he could get a 6950 that would take a dump on a 560ti. Just saying :kaola:

after the $25 rebate it is well under the $300 max :)

MSI Twinfrozer 6950? yes i have heard a lot about that gpu, heard as in good stuff .. didnt knew it would come under my budget oO

as well as the reviews go, i dont know which websites were they on , cause i browsed a hell lot of them :)) well, you are right, whatever the reviews are here in toms, they are the best and the most satisfying and relevant ones! :)

so 560ti , MSI 6950 twinfrozer uptil now!

not to mention , everytime i try to get review or ask someone, as in par to ATI , the overwhelming influence of Nvidia has always been highest.. like if you just simply bump into someone, and ask them about the which one to go for, 80% of them would definitely say Nvidia with rage! people are more biased to nvidia, as far as i have seen, like i have been into 3 countries, and lived for long, in all my years, and the response has always been the sames, even on the games you play, theres a screen before any game actually starts, that this game works best on nvidia graphic cards!

what GPU to pick is all about at what resolution you play your games! for 19 inch. monitors, max res. is like 1440X900 or 960... best gpu for that res would be ATI 5770, anything higher than that is totally overkill!!
