hi I'm looking to build my own desktop for the first time. I hear is very easy to do I read a lot of books on the subject. I would love some advise from some one who has done it. I'm planning on using the new intel i7 2600k with discrete graphics, I'm planning on using the desktop for photo editing and maybe some gaming I plan on spending aroung 1200 dollars. any sugestions on parts would be welcomed.

thank you

1)Motherboard--ASUS P8P67-M PRO

2)RAM--Kingston HyperX Blu 8GB (2 x 4GB) will be fine... they make the best RAMs

3)CPU cooler-- if you want a liquid cooler (Corsair H60 or 50 both are good) Air cooler (Noctua NH-U12DO)

4)HDD--your choice

5)PSU--650W Thermaltake TR2 80+ modular or CORSAIR CMPSU-650TX... modular means you can manage the cables of the power supply which leads for a better airflow in your case.

6)GPU--if you are going to be using high resolution monitor like 1920×1080 or
1680 X1050 you would want to take a look at GTX 560Ti twin frozr 2... best priced/FPS card.... if u go with SLI than it's a monster....

that's pretty much it, so overall it's going to cost only around $ 650 without counting HDD...
