Does changing from 1333 to 1600 DDR3 gains performance?
Jun 8, 2012, 11:56 AM
Hello, my system is I7 920 2.66, memory is DDR3 1333 12 gb,( 6 slots by 2gb each) Does changing to 8 Gb 1600 ( 2X 4gb) will gain (or loose ) any performance? And the same question about 3x4 -1600.

Yes there are gains, but the gain is small and is not the best bargain for a performance boost compared to a SSD or a faster processor or GPU.
