A few things.
-Get a Mobo with USB3 and sata3. You never know when you will need to transfer large files in a school enviroment.
-Drop to 4GB of ram. It will be fine.
-Get an Antec 380w PSU. Save money.
-Check out the Xigmatek Asgard II for a case. It has the Tom's nod!
-Get a Samsung Spinpoint F3 1TB. Much faster/larger.
Get a 5670 GPU. Much faster.
Drop to a tri core. You won't notice the difference (except the one in your wallet :D)

sorry for untidy response, I'll do better next time.

Hey, thanks for listening. A few more things though.

This GPU is the same, but costs $15 less: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102871&cm_re=5670-_-14-102-871-_-Product

This CPU will give you the same performance for less: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103872&cm_re=athlon_x3-_-19-103-872-_-Product

The HDD is fine. But so you know, Sata 3Gb/s and Sata 6Gb/s make absolutely 0 difference with a hard drive. None. Zilch.

But everything else looks good! Nice deal on the case if it's $40.

And yes, all of these parts are 100% compatible.
