So my computer's been working fine for a few months without a problem. All of a sudden when I restarted it stays locked at the BIOS screen. I tried clearing the CMOS and pulling the CMOS battery out, but it's still freezes. So now i'm noticing that my USB ports don't work either---my keyboard fails to light up (backlit keyboard). I unplugged it and hooked it up to my old laptop and that's what im typing on now. Please don't tell me this is a bad motherboard! Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

Okay so i purchased a new motherboard and transferred everything over...still freeze on bios screen...so then i returned the motherboard and ordered a new CPU---just put it in and it doesn't do anything....turn it on and nothing displays on screen at all (i did go the less expensive route and buy an i5 instead of an i7 which i had previously)...anyway so i tried reinstalling the CPU and now when i turn on the computer it turns on for 2 seconds and then shuts down...my guess is the mobo is definitely bad now...but any other ideas? thanks in advance for the help!
