Hey guys I'm a newbie in hardware and i discovered that its much cheaper if I build my PC.
So I've made a configuration and I'm interested if it's okay, the question isnt if its efficient, but only if its gonna work properly. Also I'd like to keep my VGA untouched.
I'm open to suggestions, but please in any case stick with the prices of my build bcuz I live in Hungary so newegg.com etc is pointless.
The build is:
Mobo: ASRock H55M-GE
RAM: 4GB 1333MHz DDR3 RAM Kingmax
CPU: Intel Core i3 3.06GHz (i3-540)
VGA: ASUS GeForce ENGTX460 1GB
HDD: 320GB Samsung 3.5" HD322HJ
PSU: Chieftec GPA-400S 400W (this is important, i dunno if its enough)
Case: ASUS TA-B71
Optical: Samsung SH-D163C

As you can see this is a budget gaming pc, I'd like to spare money on the case and hdd etc and have a strong VGA. The resolution is 1440x900.

Thanks in advance =)

IDK much about lower end systems but I hear AMD does good budget processers and you can overclock the crap out of them.

if you are going to go for an intel build DONT go for the LGA1156, socket its a dead socket. you could also go towards the AMD phenom series if you wanted.

if you want to go Intel, you should go towards the newer sandy bridge series, (LGA1155 socket), no point buying outdated tech (if your not even gonna save anything).

I know, but 1155 isnt compatible with 1156 CPU-s, so i would have to buy an i5 and thats not quite cheap :/

Buy Intel i3 2100 it's based on 1155 socket and it's compatible. you may have to pay about about 30-40$ more but that's good invested money.
