I have been spending the last 4 hours researching reviews, prices and everything else. I have come up with in my price range two options, HD5770 for roughly 150 or HD6850 for about 180. Im leaning more towards the cheaper but i know its also not as good. But how much difference is there really and would the 5770 be more than enough for what I do which is play online MMOs like WoW, Rift. I dont really do any other games not to say that i wouldnt because i just upgraded my CPU to a Athlon II x3 450..

If all you play is WOW and like games, a 5670 is plenty for most resolutions. What is your Monitor res?

A 5770 at 150 is really overpriced, $120 is the right price. The $150 AMD card is the 6790.
Here's a approximate performance breakdown from TPU:

Ummm, unless you play wow on integrated graphics don't expect a monumental upgrade. For some reason that game doesn't play kindly with video cards. If you have a card above a 3850 or a 8600GT fps is indicative of your CPUs clock rate. IE: 30 FPS @ 3.0ghz or 45 FPS @ 4.0ghz.

I live in the US, im playing on a old CRT monitor at 1024x768 and right now i have my graphics set to high with some other settings set to max and im getting about 30FPS in populated zones.

this guy doesnt know what he is on about. a 5770 or 6850 will be a great match for your athlon x3. you could also look at the gtx460. the 768mb version is faster than a 5770 and about the same price.

If you go crossfire, you would get good performance, but you would definitely need to upgrade your power supply before you did that. And you would also need to make sure your motherboard could handle two PCIe cards.

Also forgot to add that I run two 5770's in crossfire, and they work very well for most any type of game.
