I think any dual core processor WILL bottleneck either of those cards. They will still work great, but unless you're willing to overclock your cpu, certain cpu intensive games will prove a huge bottleneck. For example: the sims 2/3, assassins creed (especially), GTA and especially ps2 emulators if that interests you. I recommend ANY quad core, really. Phenom II's are incredibly cheap for what they provide. Also intel has much better processors, but have less bang for your buck. I would stick with a phenom II quad, they're cheap and they'll release you of any significant bottleneck, which you'll definitely recieve using a dual core with a card like the GTX 460 or 550 TI. Hope this helps :)
