My computer has disc read error windows 7

Hello,
my pc has been to the techies to fix disc read errors over the last year the pc works fine when its at the shop,but when it comes home within an hour sometimes less the same thing happens pc shuts down disc read error cntrl alt del to restart but wont restart what could be wrong here at the house
would love some response and some answers

have you got a surge protector?

had a friend who had the same problem--every time i brought it here it worked fine but every time she took it home it went wonky

putting a surge protector on it at her house stopped it immediately

+1 With your local supply being iffy. Try a different socket on another floor.

It could be something as simple as ther SATA connector on thge mobo or drive being loose, this would explain it working fine in the shop - but after a journey by car it might come loose.... they are the not the most robust connectors
