Advice on a MicroATX system

I was considering building a MicroATX system, but wasn't sure about the advantages and disadvantages. Also if you could recommend a build, that would be very helpful.

Budget Range: 800-1000 after rebates

System Usage from Most to Least Important: gaming, surfing the internet

Parts Not Required: keyboard, mouse, monitor, speakers, OS

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: the cheapest!

    micro-ATX just means 'smaller'... so less space. Personally, if you can afford a little extra space -> go with the mid-towers -> they offer better air-flow... and easier building conditions... like this one:
