Hi...there,

I'm currently running a GTX570 in my system and like to upgrade with another 570 so they'll become SLI. However, since GTX590 already appear on the surface, I've another thought that I can't decide which way to go. I play mostly 1600x1200 res on Dell 27" and trying to play some games on higher res than I normally do.

My question is get another GTX570 and SLI them or get one 590? Please, let me know your thought

Thanks a lot.

I like the SLI route as its a cheaper way to get the extra performance. And, you won't have to eBay off your old 570 for a big loss.

I run SLI MSI Hawk Talon Attacks, they are factory OC'd to 810Mhz so performance matches GTX 470's. I can max out most games at 1920x1080, COD & DiRT2 over 100FPS. Even Crysis Warhead & Metro 2033 are a very playable 40--50 FPS.

That said you'll need:
- an SLI ready motherboard with two (2) PCI-E slots that support x8 / x8 or better
- a good 850watt power supply (Corsair, Antec, or Seasonic preferred)
- a good case with some decent air flow (Cooler Master HAF series or Antec DF are very nice)
