The AMD 6-core CPUS are not a good choice for gaming. You'd do just as well with a much cheaper 955 BE, as no games currently available can use 6 cores. I think most use only 3, and many only 2. With the money you'd save, you could get a 6950, which I think wouldn't be bottlenecked badly by a well-overclocked 955 or 965.
I want to prepare for the time when there will be games that will support 6 core gaming, I want this computer to last at least 5 years
If you are building a Phenom system today then definitely use an AM3+ motherboard so you can update the processor .
Do not use the 6 core . Its not going to be better at gaming in 6 years time and its actually worse than an X4 now .
Increasingly game processing is reliant on the graphics card so as kajabla said save money on the processor and spend more on the graphics card .
The HX 750 is way overkill and a very expensive power supply . Buy a 650 TX series instead
