Been reading reviews on this PSU

Antec EarthWatts EA-650 GREEN 650W ATX12V v2.3 SLI Ready CrossFire Certified 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Where people are having it fail on them and take their Mobo and CPU with it. Just wondering if this is a rare thing with this PSU or should i avoid it for another Manufacturer or just a difference model.

I've always seen Antec recommended as a quality PSU brand, and typically see Corsair touted as the best.

On Newegg the Antec 650W has 80% rated 4 or higher. A comparable 650W PSU from Corsair has 84% 4 or higher. I would say that based on the sample size that they have similar failure or DOA rates. As a note, for the Antec PSU I saw a few duplicate 1 star reviews and a review that rated it poorly because it wasn't modular and didn't come with a power cable. With such a small sample size if the Corsair PSU doesn't have similar frivolous reviews the satisfaction rate is about the same.

Personally I wouldn't worry about it if that is the PSU you want to get.
