I recently purchased a Graphics card, the ATI Radeon HD 4650 (Link to Specs: http://www.notebookcheck.net/AMD-ATI-Mobility-Radeon-HD-4650.13883.0.html) , in the hopes of placing it in my laptop. Recently, however, I chose to buy a new computer, one which I ended up buying used from ebay. This computer is coming with 2 SLI GeForce 7600 Graphics cards (Link to specs: http://www.notebookcheck.net/NVIDIA-GeForce-Go-7600-GT.2141.0.html), now my question is, can I crossfire/SLI these two graphics cards with my ATI 4650, or atleast substitute the ATI for one 7600, Crossfiring the one ATI and one Nvidia together?
If neither Crossfire/SLI of these are possible, I need you opinion, which will work better?
The ATI Radeon HD 4650 Alone, or the double SLI GeForce 7600?

Any and all help is greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Solution

The 4650 will offer better performance, lower power consumption and less driver issues than SLI 7600's.
I would recommend switching out the dual GPU's for your single 4650.

The only time you could *theoretically* mix the two would be if you used a nvidia card as a dedicated Physx card but the 7600's don't support Physx so no, this won't work.

Thank you very much! I'm a bit of an amature when it comes to replacing graphics cards, however I'm sure I'll be able to look it up online. Thank you!
