Spent the last 2 weeks reading every thread I could find on these forms, think Im finally happy with the restul. This is my second self build, would greatly appreciate any feedback and suggestions positive or negative. Thanks

With that budget you should add a decent size SSD for OS and frequently run programs. You can cut back some on the storage drive maybe 2 x 1TB.

^agreed with rolli. also, the hyper 212+ is a great 30 dollar cooler, and a terrible 50 dollar cooler.

as long as youre aware that a $2600 system isnt going to be twice as good (i doubt if it will even be 25% better) as a $1300 system, I suppose its a cool build.

you dont need a sound card onboard sound is good.

and I'd like to really thank you for taking the time to offer all those suggestions Im gonna check them out right now.

I know the system budget was high, but I wanted a rig that could handle current games at max settings, but would also be somewhat futureproof for games next year.

the noctua i posted is better than the v8 and almost as good as the h70 for less and it is very quiet

im pretty sure 3 6950's can handle any game in the next year

Do you have some bias against nvidia? I am planning to do 580's in SLI but I noticed you recommended 3 6950's instead? any reason why ? just personal pref?

no i dont i have a 560 ti. but 3 6950's will give more performance than 2 580's.
