Bad Combo?

Hello,

i have a slightly dated PC but besides the point i have one question

2 x GTX260 FreezerX2
1 x Q6700 @ 3.10Ghz
2 x 2GB Kingston HyperX 1066Mhz
1 x Xfx 680i LT

with this current setup are the graphics card being bottlenecked by the CPU ?

Probably not. You could benefit from a mild overclock on the CPU, but the pair of GTX 260 GPUs are fine in that system.

Thanks for the quick response, i just wasnt sure, the CPU is 344x9 rather than using the 10 times multiplier, (for some reason my board wont overclock past 2.7 with x10 multi)

I know this is not the overclocker's forum but you should easily be able to run at 3.3 GHz.

Have you tried adjusting the memory settings?

Either try to run the memory "Linked" or run it "Unlinked" with the mem clock twice the FSB freq.

Example: FSB freq - 344 MHz, mem clock - 688 MHz, FSB clock - 1376 MHz.
