Hi,

I want to buy a new GFX Card. Because my card is outdated to play latest games.

Here are my Current Specs:

Intel 945GCNL Motherboard,
Processor Core 2 DUO 2.2 GHZ
2GB RAM ,
My current GFX XFX 7200GS/7300SE
PSU 450 W

Budget 80- 90 $

Solution
The HD5670 is quite low power. It can run on a 300w PSU so if yours is 450w like you say you don't need to worry about that at all.

not or not recommended if he currently using some generic PSU. OP did not mention his PSU model or brand but for his system even generic 450w power supply should be able to do the job. that's why i said he might have to replace his power supply if he want to go higher than 5670 (if he really indeed using generic PSU). and of course 6850 can run on good 450w PSU. GTX460 use more power than 6850 but nvidia states that 450w PSU should be enough for the card

Hi renz,
The critical part here is what PSU you are using; apart from the wattage could you tell us which brand/model you are using, also you could take a peek at your PSU and write down the amperage (like this)

+3.3V - 20A
+5V - 20A
+12V1 - 18A
+12V2 - 18A
-12V - 0.8A
+5V SB - 2.5A

PS: unless you provide this info, no one could answer you for sure.

What?

1024 * 768 on 26" LCD?

5670 to play Crysis 2?

I really don`t think it`s a good combination. You should at least 1600*900 on 26" (even I think 1920*1080 is the best resolution on 22" or more).

And on 5670, with the lowest setting in Crysis 2 (Gamer detail) and 1280*1024, it`s only streak at 30fps. You should upgrade all of your rig to enjoy a 26" LCD.

clearly you did not check your fact before making any comment. GT520 max wattage is 29w while 5670 is 64w. you can check it here:

http://www.geforce.com/#/Hardware/GPUs/geforce-gt-520/specifications

for sure 5670 is better than GT520 but you cannot compare the the two directly based on their total stream processor since they were using different architecture. 5670 is comparable to 9800GT in term of raw performance and yet 9800GT only have 112 stream processors while 5670 have 400.

@OP

GT520 can work with your system but if gaming is your main concern then stay away from it. 5670 is a better pick.
