Hello everyone. I am new here & a newbie at this. Please help!

Computer Specs:

Case: Cooler Master 690 II Advanced
Mobo: Intel DP67BG Extreme Series Motherboard
CPU: Intel Core i7 2600k CPU @ 3.40GHZ (No Overclock)
RAM: Corsair XMS3 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3 1600MHz, 9-9-9-24, 1.65V (CMX4GX3M1A1600C9)
PSU: Cooler Master 700W Extreme Power Plus
HDD: Seagate Barracuda ST3500413AS 500GB 7200 RPM SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive
HDD: Seagate Barracuda ST2000DL003-9VT166 2TB 5900 RPM SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive
Heatsink: Corsair H70 Hydro Series CPU Cooler
GPU: Zotac GeForce GTS 450 1GB DDR5 Graphic Card (Model: ZT-40503-10L)
CD Drvie: Samsung TSS Tcorp CDDVDW SH-S223C
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit

Its been over a month since I got this system assembled (did not do it myself) & it freezes or restarts by itself DAILY. It happens whether I'm surfing, chatting, music, movies, downloading or even on idle. It never freezes or restarts on start up or shutdown, only after windows has fully loaded. Once windows has loaded it could happen anytime between 10 minutes & 10 hours.

I am using an original copy of Windows 7 & installed all the updates till Win 7 was up to date. But this continued to happen. So I formatted my HDD & performed a clean install. Now, with NO updates and no software installed currently (only drivers), the freezing/restarting continues to happen.

In the Event viewer, it shows 21 Critical errors in the last 7 days & all are Kernel-Power, Event ID-41, Task Category-63. I do not understand what this means & I do not know what to do. :(

Any help will be greatly appreciated! :)

Many Thanks!!

Well, this is a month late I'm sure, but if you have not yet fixed the problem then maybe my suggestion will help...

Have you tried updating the bios? If I recall correctly from MANY threads I have read concerning the P67 chipset, many boards were recalled because of bios/chipset problems -- so a bios update might fix your problem. Sorry for such a late response, I just happened to stumble across this thread when looking for the built-in wifi/bluetooth capabilities of the DP67BG board.

Best of luck!
