Hey guys I currently have a hp computer with an i7 920, some terrible 450 watt psu, and a gts 250, 8 gigs of ram. I was thinking of upgrading too a gtx 570, corsair 850hx, and a corsair 600t and putting my current parts in it. I will be upgrading the rest later. Any one have any thoughts on this. I can get the 600t 570 and 850hx for 616 shipped right now...

Also i'm not set on the 600t case. I think I am looking for something with really good build quality while having amazing cooling options.

Do you guys think its worth it to upgrade these parts now and or will my 920 hold it back?

Not sure what kind of a motherboard the HP has so it's hard to tell if you can or how much you can overclock your CPU, but generally the i7 920 even at stock clocks with it's 4 cores and hyperthreading should be fine to run any current single GPU card.

The case is anyway an investment in the future and can be used for future builds and the same goes for the PSU.
With the 570 you should be able to max out most games with resolutions up to 1920x1200.

yeah i can't OC the CPU with the motherboard that came with the computer so i would just be upgrading the 450 watt psu and the gts 250. I would get a new cpu and mobo in a few months
