When I look at CPU-Z it shows that my Sandy Bridge i5 2500k is running HD 2000 graphics not HD 3000.
Why is this? How can I get the 3000 up and running?

Cheers

I'm pretty sure it's just a specific case with your CPU. Maybe the person you bought it from will give you a exchange. However, do not rely on Intel's HD graphics. A decent 40 disctrete graphics card will give you more power.

You do a Print Screen, open Paint, do CTRL-V and then save it. Then go to something like imageshack.us , upload the picture and in here you would take the URL from the picture and put it like this:

Of coruse replace what I put inbetween the tags with the URL.

well its definately a K, and non-K wouldn't OC like that. Nice OC by the way.

Trying backing it off a bit, drop a multiplier and set the bus speed back to 100. the 3000 is 2x 2000 I think, you might have stopped one of them from working? Can't see why CPU-Z would pick it up though.

Yea that is strange give our technical support a call at 916-377-7000. I have never heard of a Intel® Core™ i5-2500K showing up anything other then the Intel HD 3000 Graphics. Restore the processor to stock speeds before you give technical support a call.

Gave GPU-z a try, here's the result. Doesn't really tell me anything though. All I know about the integrated graphics is that it should be 3000. Anyone have a reference?
and thanks for the Alt hint, that makes things neater!

I loaded in the "optimized defaults" or whatever they call them. It's still the same.
Here's the computer details though, I probably should've added at the start:

Cpu: i5 2500k
MB: Asus P8Z67-v pro
Mem: 2 x4gb g. skill rip jaw ram
Heat sink/fan: cooler master 212 plus
HDD: WD 500 gb black
case: Antec 100
no discrete GPU for now, waiting for the cash... that's the only reason I care about the intel HD.
