I have an ancient GeForce FX 5500 and my new build wont post beep. Im getting an uncommon error on dr.debug (A2) which is supposed to have to do something with IDE drives but obviously I dont even have ant ide ports. On other forums they say it has to do with video. I have an x79 system So just wondering if you folks have any ideas. My guesses or as follows

Mobo is DOA/not working properly
Video card broke (unlikely as fan spins (kind of))
compatibly errors.

Help?

Solution
Most likely compatibility errors. Motherboards today are not designed to work on PCI graphics card. At least not upon boot, anyway, I think.
