How to know if my motherboard supports Intel i3 or i7 processors?

I am planing on upgrading my system with a new processor, so i made my mind on intel core i3,i5 or i7 but this is my first time upgrading a processor so i dont know if my motherboard supports them or not and i think i use an Asus Motherboard P5G-MX with a processor Intel Pentium Dual CPU E2140 (1600 megahertz) and is there anything else i should know about before buying one?


Please Help!

No, your mobo does not support i3,i5 or i7.

U want to got Z77 or Z68, P67 and get the latest Ivy Bridge or Sandy Bridge CPU's.

Or the currently fastest, the x79. But there u need more $$$.

But The Asus Team Regarded me to get one & It was Q outed " What values is the Pins Only and the type Of Processors you are getting nothing less or more was added"
