Just wondering if anyone is seeing issues with their DS after a bit of use.
I am seeing 2 things but they are both most likely due to issues with the
game cartridge. I have Urbz for DS - and have lockups at the end of the DS
only mission as well as sound cutting in and out.

I did verify the lockups on another DS so it's either bad programming, a
corrupt save or cartridge problem but the sound cutting in and out so far
has only happened on my DS but since the only game I have is Urbz, I just
don't know if it's the game or the DS.

Please post any issues you have run into with the DS.

Other than some occassional hand cramping, the DS has been performing
flawlessly for me with SM64. No scratching on the TP, although I use the
"Standard" (D-Pad) controls for SM64 -- and I'm pretty gentle with the TP
when I do use it.

Sounds like a game bug. Probably be seeing it frequently in the NG in the
future..

Oh, btw, I did end up picking up "Asphalt: Urban GT". I'm enjoying it and
don't find it to be as bad as many of the reviews (except for Gamespot's
review, which I found to be the most accurate) make it out to be. Gameplay
could've used a little polish (especially for cutting around turns), but its
still very playable..

No problems with Feel the Magic or Mario. Only thing I've noticed is some
small scratches on the bottom screen from playing FtM. They're not
apparent in most combinations of ambient lighting and the backlight, and I
can't feel them with the stylus, but with some work I can tell they're
there.

Can you not use transparent PDA screen protectors on the lower screen to
prevent scratches or does that affect the sensitivity of the
touch-screen too much?

I'm sure you could. I've never been fond of how the adhesive ones looked
on my Palm T3 (in particular, I think I'd notice the difference between
the top and the bottom unless I used one on the top screen too), and the
thicker plastic ones I do use would probably mess with the sensitivity.

Really, anything with a decent backlight tends to hide scratches. You can
only see it on mine if the scene is all black and the screen's tilted so
the ambient light is hitting it obliquely. It doesn't come up much in
practice.

Also, Nintendo has been reasonably good about replacing "bits" in the past,
and mention something in their faq about being able to do some sort of
service on the bottom screen if it becomes too badly scratched. If that's
not viable, I'll auction this one off at a reduced price and buy another
one and put protectors on that one.

Cool - that's pretty much what my husband said as well. I haven't been able
to pry it away from him to play at all yet..he has got that one and M64 and
he isn't letting me borrow either yet.

I convinced the store to exchange the Urbz cartridge after reading trying to
get support from EA. Hopefully it was just an issue with the cart. Just
started the game again and I will see. Good thing the game is fun to play
otherwise playing the whole thing again would really irritate me when I was
right at the end.
