Last response: in Motherboards

Hey guys, I just finished my first build and everything seems to be working great, theres only one problem. I am using the intel core i5 2500k built in graphics on a gigabyte z68a-d3h-b3 and for some reason it only outputs vga. I am using the hdmi port on the motherboard plugged into a 1920x1080 monitor. When I go to change resolution on windows it lists the display as "Generic PnP monitor on standard VGA Graphics Adapter. Anyone know how to make it so i can output 1080p? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!
