DDR3 2133, or 2400

Hi All,

I recently bought a new I7 - 3770 from microcenter because they didn't have the 3770k. I was thinking I would save 30 bucks because benchmarks look extremely similar. But now I'm trying to decide what memory to buy and I'm in between 2133 or 2400. I read some reviews on the 2400 that it NEEDs a K series to run well. What do you guys think?

My options are:
Wait for microcenter to get a 3770k in and return my 3770 and then get 2400
Get 2400 for the 3770
Get 2133 for the 3770

My mobo is a biostar tz77xe4 and is supposed to run both 2133 and 2400.

Just get 1600 or 1866 RAM, you'll never see the real world benefit with anything faster. You would never be able to notice the difference between 1600 and anything faster in anything but benchmarks.

Get these and overclock them:

Many RAM "manufacturers" just buy these, bin them, and put heat spreaders on them. Read the customer reviews on them.

Edit: Folks have hit 2800 with two sets of these on X79 boards. Don't let the timings listed fool you, people get them down to 1600 CAS 8 or 7 at stock voltage. (1.35v)
