More about first build think
  1. Looks alright, for the case something like this would great: http://www.amazon.com/GAMMA-Classic-Interior-Chassis-Black/dp/B002UDK9U6

Baredrives is just the hard-drive in a anti-static bag, but since the Mobo comes with SATA cables, all you'll be missing is documentation and a box.
  2. Yeah i was actually interested in that tower. So I would be good to go with a bare drive? And Thanks for the input
  3. Consider this drive? 500GB more for $5 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822145304

Bare-drives are fine, technically you're saving the environment too. :>
  4. Wow nice Ill have to get that :) and good haha thanks
  5. I plan on ordering all these parts tonight. Would like to just get assurance that everything is compatible? Thanks.
  6. If you're going all-out cost saving, this cooler is $5 less than the 212+ and not much worse: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835233082

Just wait for the $15 promo card to come and pay $5.

Also, if you ever plan to upgrade, an AM3+ board would be nice. Though You will be paying a bit more.

Other than that, everything should work together fine,
  7. Haha yeah I was just thinking about my cpu cooler. Not to sure about the one I have. Do u recommend that one over the one I have?
  8. It has pretty nice reviews. XL size, Do u think it would fit good in the GAMMA?
  9. The Gammas a pretty big case with no side fan so it should fit.

You're getting a Promo card anyways and the 955 does come with a cooler. So Id say just hold off and wait until you can use the $15. Unless you have something planned already.
  10. Okay everything is compatible. And I'm not going all cheap but if its worth the extra few bucks ill buy it. Yeah I plan on getting the 955 and using the gift card on maybe on the Tuniq Tower 120. And what do you mean by getting the am3+ board? Is it worth the money? And I want a pretty good CPU cooler just because this computer will be on 24/7 with some off time.
  11. AM3+ is the boards with black socket that supports drop-in BDs. If you're not interested, disregard and move on.
  12. Anyonne see any bottlenecking with the components listed above?
