So I am having a problem with my PCI wireless card. The model is the TP-Link TL-WN811N. Yesterday I noticed that my front panel audio was not properly connected so I opened my case and reconnected it. When I powered on my PC again the card was not detected, even in the device manager. When I opened up my case again I noticed that the wires from the unused AC97 front panel audio connector were touching the side of the wireless card. I have tried reinstalling the card, reinstalling the drivers and switching to a different PCI slot. Do think it is possible that my card was ruined by the wires touching it? Also my hand touched the side of the card when I was reconnecting the Front panel audio connector, but I was grounded to the case. My specs are:
i5 2500k
Asus P8P67 Pro
8GB DDR3 1333
XFX Pro 750w
Evga GTX 560 1 GB
